Getting there early to beat the crowds is only slightly helpful as it seems to be busy even at 9am. Watch out for the long queue into Basilica di San Marco.
Ravioli was delicious, I liked this restaurant very much as it seemed very popular and not so touristy as the ones across the road.
This was my favourite place when I visited Venice, I love the colourful houses, the lace in the shops, I could not resist walking for hours and window shopping everything.
There are only 3 bridges across the Grand Canal, each is unique, there are toilets under the steps. People have been putting padlocks on the bridge.

Very easy to buy a ticket, getting a "season" ticket is a good idea, however they only go up to 3 days.
