Al S: Best time to visit the Victory Gardens is the start of spring, as everything is blooming and coming back to life. It only lasts a couple of weeks, at most, but it's a special time.

Al S: The end of the Mall nearest Kenmore Sq is often empty in the morning, and it's a great place to sit with a cup of coffee and a good book to start the day.

Al S: Some of the most beautiful and picturesque scenery in all of Boston, especially in winter and spring. Check out the Ducklings, the Japanese Lantern, the main bridge and the Good Will Hunting bench.

Al S: Climb the monument. It can be a bit of a workout, but just take your time and stop when you have to. It's a great experience and the views from the top are awesome.
Al S: Great new craft beer bar in a 'hood that really needs one. Margherita pizza is simple and very well done. Eat one with a Trillium brew. Fort Point Pale Ale if they have it. Yep.

Al S: Literally everything they make here is worth trying. Brioche au chocolate is a real standout though. Everything is delicious...but nothing is cheap. This is one pricey bakery.
Al S: Line gets quite long here but it moves quick and the baristas are fairly efficient. Great espresso drinks. Grab one and go chill in the Ace lobby, if you can find a seat.

Al S: This Dunkin' is actually incredibly fast and efficient, if you can navigate through all the shiftless layabouts and lottery-ticket scratchers outside.
Al S: Visit the Common (not Commons, that’s what tourists call it) on Memorial Day and see all the flags. It’s truly beautiful. And appropriately memorable.
