Wonderful museum that does an incredible and informative job of presenting the complex history of the West. Fantastic curated temporary art exhibitions as well so come back often with a membership.

Gene Autry was well known from over three decades as The Singing Cowboy on the radio, in movies and on TV. He also recorded classic holiday songs including Here Comes Santa Claus, which he also wrote.

Check out the Ponderosa map painting - the one from Bonanza. The original is now at the Autry. And the cafe is very nice, nothing fancy but convenient and comfortable.
