Trail access at Shelter 14. Great trail that runs along the lake and through meadows. Well kept.

Favorite hike I got to do in this park. Nothing spectacular at first but once you get into the slot canyon it’s amazing! Goes on for quite a stretch too, lots of photo opportunities.
Good hike, had a little trouble finding the trail but it was worth it. Gets steep at the end, tough it out to get a great aerial view of the canyon.
An easy hike, multiple trails you can pick and choose. Wonderful colors in the canyon.
Lots of interesting goodies. Hard to resist buying a couple of things if this is your aesthetic. Don’t overlook the jewelry.

Happy to find an open vault toilet here. Trying to pass the Sierras via Lassen due to snowstorms further south but there is little open on this highway during the winter months. Nice trail as well.
It’s warm inside, thank god. Car camped here even though there were signs prohibiting it. Was quiet, but it also absolutely freezing outside so not much traffic coming through.
