Pop in for great, authentic Italian sandwiches (homemade pesto), delicious, fresh pastries in the AM, and sip some of the best coffee in town. Staff is amazingly friendly! 100% local. Beats Starbucks!

This coffee shop has decor as if the walls have been shifted and you're walking on bookcases with the floor as the wall! Their tea selection has more variety than Starbucks.

Tiny little place with great coffee, gelato and fancy cakes. They do proper iced lattes and affogatos.

For some reason this is the only coffee place around GC without lines at 8 am. I'm usually the only customer. The coffee is also great, second only to Joe in this neighborhood.

Grab a large dark roast "to stay" - it's HUGE. You need a diving board to manage it. PS: Will is the best barista in NYC!

Coffee is nothing special, they serve danesi. Don't order the latte. Lots of snacks and they have ice cream.

The only good thing about midtown is this lower east side transplant. Jo's doesn't hold a candle to D'espresso. Best Iced Americano in all the land.
