    Wait until after 4:30 and it clears out. Good wine selection. Senator Lounge buffet has hot and cold items.

    If you take United and get stuck overnight (very likely with United) make sure you pick up an overnight lot from them. Check their luggage claim office.

    Be sure you know how many stops youre making before you decide to take Super Shuttle. It took forever to get to our hotel! The extra for a taxi would be with it.

    Travel is a great excuse to clean out your purse! Getting rid of clutter in your carry-on bag will allow Transportation Security Officers to get a clear X-ray of your bag and save you time.

    Chipotle stopped serving breakfast! Sure their eggs were always mad runny but free range chorizo!? Yum. Drop a complaint to chipotle.com.

    The Dulles Diamond Security Point referenced in the other tip WAS amazing and convenient for frequent flyers but now they allow anyone so it gets just as backed up as any other checkpoint. So sad...

    There is free wifi as of 5/12/14. Check out the Airbus A380's that park at A20.

    If you're TSA Pre and traveling with someone who is not go to pre check and your companion can use the neighboring aisle....faster than the downstairs mess!!!

    One of the best structured airports allowing incoming & outgoing passengers in one directions. It resembles the Chennai, India airport.

    If you are headed to C-Gates, make sure you get on the last tram. This is closest to the walkway entrance.

    To get to C concourse, take the people mover to concourse D and then walk to your C gate. Likely same or less walking and no trains, escalators or stairs.

    The "mobile lounges" need to go. There's nothing worse than being the first off a flight only to get dumped out into one of these infernal diesel-fume-filled relics that waits 20+ minutes to leave.

    Don't take SuperShuttle...you may have to wait 30-60 minutes for a van even with a reservation. Take the MetroBus or WashingtonFlyer bus to Metrorail instead....its cheaper and faster to the city.

    Even with trains shuttling you to the different terminals, it's still a walk to get from the trains to the actual terminal. Be prepared to pick up your pace!

    People mover for terminal D and the underground train for terminal C. But you can walk between both terminals so grab the least crowded option.

    The new AeroTrain between terminals is slower than the "mobile lounge" by 10 mins; You can still take the mobile lounge. If in C/D across from gate D14. On the other side between A/B concourse (A8)

    Pretty massive Airport. Removal of footwear is mandatory. Also have beauty products lesser than 100ml.(Sunscreen,face wash, Shampoo)

    If you need to ride one of the shuttle buses to immigration/customs, stay by the entry door for a swift exit. That'll help you in getting in front of the crowd in the passport check lines.

    Muy bonito aeropuerto. A veces los originarios de la India no organizan bien las filas. En horas pico es caótico entrar para el chequeo.

    Huge airport. Shuttles around the different gates run every 4 mins. Very convenient.

    Signalisation, geography, and processes are terrible but staff from airport (Security, pass control, etc.) very friendly compensates for the failures in infrastructure.
