Date Night Is...: Definitely one of the best spots in the area. You can't go wrong for Date Night or for a brunch the morning after. Sit at the bar and make friends with the bartenders who will gladly make a recco.

The Wall Street Journal: Brownstone Brooklyn meets rustic Mediterranean: eggplant salad, chorizo, and piquillo peppers liven up the brunch menu here, but the most notable dish (not just for its name) is Green Eggs and Lamb. En savoir plus .

Flavorpill: Besides the award-winning theatre and dance productions, BAM's also a great place just to see a movie, because usually it's filled with (respectful) film nerds - even new releases.

Douglas C: Only place in NYC that does cold-brewed coffee in this style. Byproduct is a deep molasses coffee that creates a serious cocaine buzz. Program that makes the mixture costs $3500 .

Omar Haroun: Coolest opera house I've been to. In general shows at BAM are half the price and twice as good as most things in manhattan. Get more BAM for your buck

Compass: Dick & Jane’s is an unpretentious speakeasy that offers cozy cocktails without the hype.
