Perfect place for a light breakfast - fresh flaky croissants. Will make you think you are in Paris!
A great little vegan cafe, the two women who work here are friendly and welcoming and the smoothies are terrific (try the one with spirulina). The food was pleasant and colourful (scrambled tofu).
On your dive, keep an eye out for the impressive bull shark we've been seeing here since last month!
This is where all the tourists go.. Nice to have seen, but head down to the beach for some nice restaurants and bars.

The cabanas are awesome but you must get up super early to get one.. I got up at 7 am today and had my pick of the litter :)
Great Cuban salsa bar. The strawberry mojito is great! Nice break from the tourist trappings further south on 5th.

Perfect beach town that has something for everyone...diving, nature, shopping, etc. Central location makes it a good base from which to visit other parts of the Riviera Maya!
On the back side of the ruins is a cliff with stairs. Walk down them and swim in the bluest, clearest water around. Beautiful scenery for pics also.
You can find here lots of European and American tourist. If you don't like crowd, do not go.
Take in the carefully restored relics of a civilization that thrived in the 13th–15th centuries. The reconstructed temples are jaw-dropping—even from the distance imposed by the ropes that guard them.
Unique snorkeling experience & amazing cavern diving location. The visibility is just incredible as are the formations!
