Tom Coates: It’s a bit of a tourist trap, but it has some really good bits. The main house is really interesting. The stagecoach ride is fun. Try and sit on the top. The First Nations area is a bit underwhelming.
Tom Coates: They have sweets in reception that you can for free. Occasional lovely people in reception with free snacks and drinks. Rooms are fun and charming and cute. Strong recommend.
Tom Coates: Just great. Best part of the trip up the mountain. Stunning view. The bridge is a bit wobbly but in a fun way. May be closed in the winter.
Tom Coates: Absolutely brilliant. The chair lifts from the main station (peak express) was the best bit and the suspension bridge and the view from up there was just extraordinary. Best part of the summit.

Tom Coates: All the food is good. Some of it is delicious - particularly the black cod. Strongly recommend you order in stages as they will bring everything out quite quickly.

Tom Coates: The almond dessert was absolutely extraordinary. The venue is nice, staff are good and the cocktails are solid. We didn’t try the sushi. Don’t ask!

Tom Coates: The salmon waffle was really nice. My brother had the steak and eggs and I was super jealous. I thought it would be huge but actually it’s a nice brunch portion. Strong recommend.
Tom Coates: Totally bizarre place. You go for the view and the experience honestly. The tea room is only fun because you’ve climbed the mountain. Still it *is* fun. Chocolate cake a hot sweet chai latte was good.
Tom Coates: The pizzas are good. As are the cocktails. They’ll try and get you to try their rosemary infused chilli oil and honey combo with the pizza, but honestly it’s sort of bullshit.
Tom Coates: This place is NOT cheap. And it’s not in the center of Banff. But honestly it’s pretty good. It has a great view from the rooms, the bistro is reasonable and very good. Just a little characterless.

Tom Coates: Let’s just get it out of the way, it’s expensive for what it is because it’s in Jasper. The food is very tasty if not very exciting. Had the El Diablo Chicken, which was tasty but not really $25 tasty

Tom Coates: Really lovely local produce, drinks, cider, ice cream and milk shakes. Recommended by locals as the best in the area and having looked around I believe them.
Tom Coates: This is a charming local Thai restaurant. It’s not the best Thai food you’ll ever eat, but it’s tasty, and everyone is super nice and friendly. You’ll have a nice time.

Tom Coates: It’s generally pretty great. It’s a bit too dark though. And it’s quite a tight space. Difficult to get into if you arrive after work, so go as early as is practical.

Tom Coates: This place used to be papabubble in Hayes Valley, but they moved and renamed. They look like they’re still trying to get set up, but they make delicious and beautiful hard candies still.

Tom Coates: Getting a Ferry from the ferry building to larkspur or Sausalito is one of the cheapest and best ways to experience the San Francisco Bay, see all the bridges and Alcatraz. It’s only $6-7 each way.
Tom Coates: Three best views of the bridge are from the path by the observation platform, underneath at Fort Point and on the Marin headlands up the hill.
