Friendly butchers and a great selection of high quality meat and seafood. I always prefer their selection versus the nearby Safeway or TJ's.
Delicious food in a neighborhood with a lot of "character". Appreciate that they're open late.
Some of the most interesting terrain in Tahoe plus good restaurants and bars for apres ski. Expensive but I usually buy discounted lift tickets at REI or Sports Basement.
The first Mission taqueria I went to in 2002 and still a solid place for a burrito or quesadilla. Make sure to load up on their excellent salsas!

Beautiful restaurant with a beautiful view. Food is always spot-on, especially the shaking beef, imperial rolls, crab noodles...bar is also great for a cocktail or strong iced coffee + apps
Obviously the Irish coffee! Service is fast, people are friendly, and it's a perfect way to warm up from an inevitably foggy day. They even let my husband & his groomsmen take a picture behind the bar
Ham & cheese croissant to die for - so flaky! Next favorites are the seasonal bread pudding and tartines.
I can't stop eating their overpriced salads because they are so delicious. The sandwiches & cookies are good too. Go by 11:30 or grab a pre-made salad to avoid the long lines.
