Nightlife on Thursday evening is good for dates. Get there early to secure a planetarium pass (free) and walk the rainforest before it closes (7:45pm). Downstairs with the fish is cool.
Great local hiking experience. Recommend the Miwok Trail above the valley for the scenic views. Beach at the end is great, but windy.
Great sushi spot in inner sunset. Recommend Romeo and Juliet, Agedashi Tofu, and Toro Nigiri. The rolls are packed with fish, so you get your money's worth. Go off hours to avoid the wait.
Incredible Wagyu steaks. Pricing can be $50/ounce or even more...but it was the best steak I've ever had. Hamachi shots and foie gras are great too.
Great 360 view of SF after an easy hike. Gets windy so you may want to bring a sweater.
Beautiful and delicious chocolates. Best are the fleur de sel and coconut rum.
Probably best xiao long bao in SF (they don't use tin foil). Much less touristy than other places in Chinatown.
Best museum in the world. Come early to avoid the crowds (esp bad around Rosetta Stone).
Impressive selection of wines (love the France and Italy sections). Fair prices and knowledgeable staff.
Healthy SOMA lunch spot with outdoor seating. Get the big plates with salad. Rec to sub out the mashed potatoes.
