The best bar in the UES to get beer AND whiskey. The bartenders are very helpful (although sometimes overwhelmed). The food is fine...nothing really stands out.
The brisket is ridiculous, their fried chicken sandwich is oddly delicious and their sides are great as well. Awesome beer selection on tap!!
Discovered this place a few months ago and have been back 4 times. The food is consistently great, the service good enough (they're always slammed) and the agave spirits selection is awesome!
Our go to comfort food spot in the neighborhood. Get the Mac & Cheese and the Artichoke Salad. Their beer selection is great (always a few options on "special" for $5).

Skip Red Rooster and come to Sylvia's when you are in Harlem. The food is insanely delicious (best fried chicken & waffles) and the staff is warm, attentive and welcoming.
