Best Mexican on the LES.Mole is super good. Tacos. Margaritas. Guacamole. All are top notch. The space can be a little cramped but worth it. Food is tip top. Never had a thing I wouldn't order again.
Came here late on a Monday night and it was packed! Best Guac in the city - by far. Fun atmosphere & delicious jalepenomargs - very spicy! This place is definitely going to be one of my go-to spots.
Actually only had margaritas here and they are freaking amazing. The habanerograpefruit one is my favorite but it's so spicy. Go for the jalapeñolime if you want something a little less intense.
Loved the tacos and cocktails in this Mexican hipster spot!! Come early for dinner as it will be packed (we waited 45min to be seated). Worth the wait as also service and atmosphere are superb.
You have to get here early to get a table at this tiny spot! Start with the HabaneroMargarita! We’re big fans of the Enchiladas Verdes and the Chili En Nogada.
great cocktail list, including the habanero grapefruit margarita, all for reasonable prices. the plato mexicano is a sampling of delicious stuff that can definitely feed two
Skirt steak taco literally has a full steak in chunks and is the best value for your money. Mahi mahi taco had the right flavor but its portion was measly. Unfortunately you can't mix and match tacos.
As a native Texan, who has also lived in San Diego, I think Barrio Chino has some of the best Mexican food and margaritas in the city. There’s generally a wait given its size, but def. worth it!
"Chinese Hood", very small and gets crowded in the evenings easily, food is not cookie cutter Mexican. The shrimp dish has really tasty sauce! I miss this place so much!
Totally worth the 1.5 hour wait. Grab a beer at Top Hops Beer Shop around the corner on Orchard in the meantime. The Platos Mexicano is some of the most memorable food I've tried in the city.
Guac is great (love the tortilla chips too)! Mole is delicious. I tried the habanerograpefruit marg, which was good but very hot! The plain grapefruit marg hit the spot.
Their jalapeñolime margaritas are SPICY! Al pastor tacos were good. I also tried their beettacos (special) and it was interesting. Drinks come out very quickly, food takes a bit longer
Margaritas are incredible but beware of the jalapeño and habaneromargs if you're sensitive to spice. They are delicious but VERY spicy. Taco plate is a little small but very good.
Beyond in love with this place. Grapefruit Margaritas with brown sugar lined rim are a MUST-try. Come early and save a seat at the bar or at table, this place has LONG waits.
Hole in the wall that it is easily missed but happy I didn't place gets packed after 6 so come early mexican beers and the food was great had 3 different tacos all awesome and guacamole to die for
Enchiladas verdes were pretty damn good, and I had a hefty elderflower margarita to go with my meal. Definitely VERY loud and crowded, but if you can ignore that it's worth the visit.
The spiciest, most delicious margarita award goes to this place. Don't sleep on their chips and salsa or full menu either. But the margs keep me coming back.
I absolutely love their mole it's for sure the best I've had. A huge variety of margaritas for really good prices. Really everything tastes good here. Gets loud,
Start with the crisp chips and tangysalsa with a grapefruithabaneromargarita followed by the Enchiladas or Antojitos. The music is loud and the wait can be long but it’s worth it.
The calamaritaco is to die for! And if your here for brunch, get ready for huevos and steak fiesta in your belly. Order mechelada as your drink-- who needs protein shake for breakfast?!?
The server might try to warn you that the habanero grapefruit margarita is really spicy but if you like spice it's very much tolerable, so don't be afraid

The cazuela de mariscos is hands down one of the best things I've ever eaten. Pair that with a jalapeño margarita and you'll not only go home happy but you'll be craving more.
Drunken shrimp is tasty, as well as the seafood soup entree. Their food is great, wonderful flavors. Prepare to wait a long time, drink a habanero infused grapefruit margarita. :-)

Good Mexican food with a large selection of margaritas. Order the enchiladasmoles and if you think you can handle heat - the habanero grapefruit margarita!
Look for the orange front door and the Chinese lanterns hanging in the windows- these are the only identifiers to let you know you've successfully navigated to this rare gem
Do not duscuss with me about the tacos, just go and order the sopesitos with a mix of the toppings, I promise you won't regret it. I'm seriously curious about the large selection of tequila.
Don't get the habanero/jalepeño margartia unless you have an extremely high spice tolerance. And I mean extremely. Instead try any of the other delicious marg flavors! All delish!!
So don't listen to all the recs and get a grapefruithabaneromargarita. It's just heat with no flavor. Get a tamarindmargarita if you want something new and good. Al pastor tacos are good too!
Jalapeño Margaritas, guacamole and steak tacos make this place into a perfect pre-game destination on the weekends or ultimate mid-week end up on a work night.
u need a lil hot & snappy? check this out: habanero-infused grapefruit margarita to start then hit up the tacos - al pastor, pescado.. finish it off with any of the entrees.
