    Very beautiful place with picturesque view. Our friend had a wedding ceremony there. However very hot and no place to hide from sun :) be prepared for rocky ground, you'll need very comfortable shoes

    Don't miss the sunset! One side has great views of downtown while the other has a view of the 360 Bridge. Also fun to see all the huge houses and pretend like you could own them!

    Don't let the stairs scare you. It's a short way up and once you get up top it'll just be an easy stroll. Great views of the river!

    On your way down stop by Mayfield Park and check out the peacocks that roam around! They fan their tails around February and go on until ~April.

    Most people drive to the stairs. The true test is if you park at the bottom of Mt Bonnell Rd and walk to the stairs!! What a workout!

    As you're walking around, don't forget to look down. There could be some beautiful scenes at your feet begging to be captured. Look for leaves or pretty stones that stand out and shoot away!

    No trip to Austin is complete without a stop at Mt. Bonnell, the highest "peak" in the Austin area. Anytime is good, but sunset can be spectacular across the panoramic view.
