This is an unexpected oasis so close to the highway and public transit. It is worth a visit for a stroll, especially because it's free and there's free parking in their lot.

A hidden gem in the city and it's free (free parking too!). Giant green house with a lot of plants and a huge back yard with a pond.

This is a great Chicago Winter destination. You can take a beautiful stroll through the gardens and give your lungs a much needed spa treatment of warm fragrant moist air.

Entrance is free but a donation is asked at times. Either way, it's a great place to go -- indoors and out-- to take in some beautiful and exotic plant life. I love this place in the winter!

Always free, this facility is an amazing oasis in the city, especially on cold winter days. Their seasonal displays are amazing and the fern room is a child's dream. The kids garden is underwhelming.

Free entry, donation suggested. One of my favorite places in the city. The back garden and pond are the highlight. Urban oasis.
