Delicious! Dumplings in chili oil, dan dan or sesame noodles, eggplant garlic sauce, chicken wings, etc. You can't go wrong. Prepare to sweat, the spice is awesome. One of my favorite chinese spots!

The menu includes things like Dan Dan noodles, beef tendons in chili oil, and dry pepper chicken wings, plus 14 protein-based entrees. The early word is very good.

Some of the best spicy Chinese in NY. Standouts: dan dan noodles, spicy chicken wings, cumin lamb and chicken, Ma po tofu.

My favorite veggie dish of all time: sautéed pea shoots with garlic. Both my parents are from Szechuan, China and the Dan Dan noodles and dumplings in chili oil were some of the best I've had

They'll text you when your table is ready so don't be discouraged by a wait. Turnover is pretty quick too. Just grab a drink nearby and dream about impending dan dan noodles.

A transplant from Philly, Han Dynasty is still the best Szechuan I've found. Their heat scale has gotten somewhat toned down over the years, but everything else has stayed the same - awesome.

The dan dan noodles are not to be missed! Other favorites are chicken wings, salt and pepper scallops and green beans. Insider tip: if you go with 8 or more people, opt to do the tasting menu!

Order the pork dumplings in chili oil along with scallion pancakes. The dry pepper style fish is delicious so is the garlic sauce style chicken. Don't forget to order Dan Dan noodles.

This East Village eatery is known for its dan dan noodles, and though Gothamist Food Editor Nell Casey prefers the aforementioned Grand Sichuan House feast, these still get a spot on the list. En savoir plus

One thing I learned about Han Dynasty is that everything comes in big portion so be sure to share your food! Definitely get dumplings in chili oil. It's delicious. Dan dan noodles are ok.

The hype is real: Dan Dan Noodles are delicious and have an amazing umami property. The Cumin Lamb has a great texture and flavor with just the right amount of heat.

Beef tripe in chili oil, dan dan mien, and the double cooked pork belly! Gets packed during peak hours so go early. Also pick up a milk tea to counter the intense spicy!

Spice levels are listed in red to the right of each dish. 7 and above leaves your mouth numb (in a good way). Try the dan dan noodles, pork belly, and crispy cucumber appetizers and go from there.

Spicy cucumbers and Dan Dan noodles made a great appetizer combo. Dry pepper chicken, kung pao chicken, garlic beef was a medley of wonderful tastes, from mild to spicy. Friendly staff, amazing place.

I've been trying to find a Sichuan place in NYC as good as Han since I first had it in Philly three years ago. Now I don't have to! Dan Dan Noodles, Cumin Lamb, and Garlic Eggplant are all amazing.

Everything here is so good! Even if you don't like spicy foods they will adjust the level and make things more or less spicy. Order the Don Don noodles and the wontons in chilli seed oil.

Man, I have never had a disappointing meal here. The Dan Dan noodles are incredible, but so are the cold mung bean ones. The eggplant is beautiful, and so is the mapo tofu. You can't go wrong.

Obviously get the dan Dan noodles, but don't sleep on the dry spicy chicken (wings or a plate) and the spicy cucumbers. Garlic shrimp is another great addition, but skip the beef in hot sauce

If you aren't getting the dan dan noodles, what are you doing here? They have different levels of spiciness for the noodles which can be fun to experiment with.

Order the dan dan noodles. They are cooked to perfection (literally the best noodles I have ever tasted), topped in chili oil sauce with minced pork and scallions. Super spicy but worth it.

Don't be a hero; you probably wanna stay under 6 on the spice meter. Make sure to pair spicy dishes with mild ones, and definitely don't skip the wontons or dumplings in chili oil. Or else.

Sichuan food can be enjoyed very affordably with a large group at this Philly import. The round table in the back seats eight to 12 people for set tasting menus starting at just $25 per person.

The tea at the table functions as a kind of salve for the forthcoming spice. Don't let that discourage you, though - get something Sichuan, and commiserate with your fellow diners about the heat.
