La porte de l'Islande. L'aéroport est petit (1 terminal) mais souvent bondé. Profitez de la vue sur l'océan et les volcans au décollage et atterrissage. Et essayez la nourriture locale. 😉

Fill up your beer supplies in the duty free shop on arrival - that's WAY cheaper than anywhere else in Iceland. If available go for Einstök Pale Ale or White Ale.

Most efficient airport i have ever seen. Do your online check-in and print your pass and drop it without waiting. buy the flybus tickets online as well. Tax refund is just behind the joe&the juice.

Last chance to try liqurice and chocolate, the Icelanders' favorite candy. My personal favorite is Draumur. You can get it in both the Dutyfree and Inspired by Iceland.

We've spent the night at the departures, no problem with anyone telling anyone they're not allowed to sleep there. 10/11 open, clean free toilets, little sitting available, also – no crowd ;).

Don't take the taxi to Reykjavik, it's very VERY expensive. FlyBus trips are about 4x cheaper and will drop you straight to your hotel too.

Everyone in their lifetime must visit this airport to check out THE BATHROOMS!! The halls are lined with linoleum walkways that have pebbles. Nice airport. I approve.

Really gorgeous airport with a lot of amenities. But be aware, sometimes you won't be able to get to your gate early as they'll keep it locked off for a while.

Great terminal for those in transit from US to UK. Nicest airport bathrooms I've been in anywhere in the world with private sinks in each toilet. Great duty free shop with local wool goods.

There is airport luggage storage… beside the car rental pales about a 500m walk. I wouldn't recommend trying it in winter or you'll just be walking on the icy roads. But it's there if you need!

Tax refund counter is hard to find. It's behind Atlantic Bistro next to duty free shop. Just hand your receipts with credit card number to the girl walking around and go, easier than waiting in line.

Iceland air offers free stopovers, but plan ahead if transiting. They also have a chain of hotels and organized tours can be booked at the hotel. Fly us with Internet best way into out of town.

The gift shop upstairs has more selection and is bigger than the one downstairs. The bathrooms by gate 32 are spacious and accommodate your luggage.

So impressed by the security process here. Lots of staff, plus everything is automated and super efficient. You scan your own boarding pass and the baskets for the screening process is automated!

Clean, efficient, and compact airport with very good (fast) luggage handling on arrival. And a tax free arrival store; a "lifesaver" given the price of alcohol in the government-run monopoly stores.

Luggage storage available for 5 euros/day/unit. Exit through the car rental section. Look for car rental drop-off and walk there. You are looking for a place named Geysir!

What's not to like about an airport with Nordic design, efficiency and attention to detail, with friendly staff and a fabulous retail and F&B mix to boot. 👍🏻🇦🇽✈️

If you're here in milder weather, consider waiting for your flight outside. You can sprawl on the grass just outside the ticketing desks and get your fill of the otherworldly Icelandic air and rays.

The airport is one of the few in the world that is tax-free & duty-free. You can shop duty free on arrival. Alcohol is expensive in Reykjavik, may want to consider purchasing before leaving airport.

Bring warm clothes in AIRPLANE when using wow or Iceland air. Island people are used to the cold and will set the temperature 3-5 degrees lower than our normal room temperature inside the plane.

"D" gates can take up to 20 minutes to get to after security because you must get through passport control. There is a second duty free next to gates so you can still do your shopping.

Sky bus into Reykjavik is easy and direct as well a relatively fast and cheap and it goes to most of the hotels. I would not bother with a taxi unless you are in a real rush.

The Saga Lounge has a great spread any time of the day. Flying Icelandair is an inexpensive way to Europe. Even Saga Class is cheap by other airlines standards.

You literally have to exit through a gift shop to get to your gate, which is kind of funny. Also, some of the nicest bathrooms of all time are downstairs in the departure area. (I'm serious!)

Перед получением tax free обязательно проверьте сумму возврата по чеку. Для получения денежных средств более 5000 ISK, необходимо предъявить таможеннику вещи и получить от него отметку на чеке.

Want to dive right into the deep end of the pool? Go for the "Kjammi og kók" (traditional Icelandic sheep head with Coca cola), served at "Fljótt og gott" at the final destination of the fly bus.
