It is said that Abraham Lincoln visited this bar with Peter Cooper after his Cooper Union Address. Operating for over 150 years, this "men only" club opened its doors to women in 1970.

Oldest bar in NYC. They serve only two types of beer, McSorley's dark or light ale. They're both great.

Get the dark beer. An NYC institution of drinking. Not much has changed over the years and that’s the way they should keep it

Go to McSorley's and order Dark or Light beer. Have your friend order the other type. They come in sets of two half-pint glasses, so trade a beer with your friend and try both!
