Traveling with a service animal? There's an animal relief area next to the post office in Concourse D. Even of you're not traveling with a svc animal, go anyway. Seeing the fire hydrant is worth it.
Love this airport! Security lines are never very long and there are some great shops in the main terminal where all the concourse branch off from! Just wish the had shuttles or buses out. Upgrade!!
There's an awesome place across from gate A11 where there are two power outlets and some seats. None of the nearby gates were in use so the area was quiet enough to take a call while charging up.
PIA is what makes Tigers(NA Schools) more diverse, because PIA can be stood for Public &(and) International Atmosphere. Allegheny(County) is the key compass of diversity of culture. PIA, part of Pitt.
They stepped their game up big time. This airport now has everything you need, from diarrhea inducing burritos to high endblazers and fancyjewelry. One stop shop for all yinz Pittsburghers
Such great carpet we have at PIT! I think it's 3 Rivers, but then the rivers are also the exhaust trail from that little plane there. "You seen 'at!???"
If you have a pet and some time, take your pet to the outside relief areas instead of the one inside the terminals. The outdoor ones are on either side of the baggage claim doors in the grassy areas.
If you have TSA Pre, use the main screening lines downstairs; the line moves fast. If you don’t, definitely use the secondary screening line, accessed in the morning via the back door upstairs.
YES! RYAN SAID IT RIGHT! When yur stuff comes out of the xray machine slide down to the end so OTHER people can get their stuff Too! YOU are NOT the only one here flying! Show a little consideration
Seriously, skip the main TSA line and go through the alternate route. Never fails to blast through security using the alternate route. It's located on the top floor by United and restrooms.
1) Connect to "FlyPittsburgh" for a good Wi-Fi connection. 2) Purchasing the preferred upgrade at check-in is truly worth it. Zero line and first to board. 3) Fly often!
If you have some time before your flight, eat at Bar Symon in the central area (top of the escalator to terminals). Great service, great food, great beer list, and great value.
Pittsburgh is one of the most well designed airports. It served as a US Air hub until 2004 or so and now many gates are empty but the shopping and food is still superb and constantly being renovated.
Head to Nature's Kitchen in the main food court...they've got some pretty decent Jerk Chicken chunks served on a bed of rice, with green beans and the Pesto pasta salad on the side. A delicious lunch!
Love free wifi without being forced to jump through any hoops. Need more charging stations tho. Love the post office and rite aid right in the airport gates. More airports need that
Buy your drinks or snacks at Rite Aid. The prices there are the same as the street prices. You can also use your savings card ;) Everywhere else you'll pay steep airport/airplane prices.
Nice, spacious and clean with a pretty decent selection of shops for a US airport. Far from Pittsburgh and difficult to get there using public transport 🚌 🚖 ✈️
Cut the kiosk wait and head down one floor for a check in kiosk to any flight! Works even at 3 am before the kiosks of the carriers start functioning. This check in kiosk is right next to the ATMs.
Please check to make sure you seat belt is securely fastened. Your seat back and tray table are in the full upright and locked position & all carry-on luggage is placed completely underneath the seat.
If you're looking for a great breakfast while you're waiting for a flight, try Charley's Grilled Subs near terminal A. Outstanding omelet made with real eggs.
Those awaiting transplant or transplant recipients can ask to be expedited through security to avoid exposure [and] request a gate pass for a loved one to escort & wait with you until you board.
Hidden power outlet!!: check out the TGI Friday's in the center of the midfield terminal. There's an outlet behind the column in the bar entrance. Be kind, tip your server well!
Free WiFi, decent shopping for an airport and no single monopoly by any one airline keeps everybody fairly honest. Alternative checkpoint is nice for weekday mornings if you don't have PreCheck
If you just have one carry on item you can go through the express security lane which is one shortline opposed to weaving through a huge long one- the alternate ckpoint only has 2 lanes- is slower!
