Worth the line for sandwiches. The muffo is premade but delicious. Get it to go and eat at room temp. You can get a meatball on the side which is awesome. They run out of items so go early.

The best. Check out grandma batali making gnocchi in the window once a week and grab some meat to go at the counter. Also grab a single meatball to go if only to see the cutest to go container ever

As the name suggests, Salumi stands out for its cured meats. It’s owned by Gina Batali (yep, Mario’s sister), which explains why people wait in line for the massive Italian sandwiches. En savoir plus

APFM: Cured meat sandwiches from the Batali family. Try the Coppa. Open Tues-Fri. Skip the long line by calling in your pre-order same day before 10:00am (for cold sandwiches only).

The sampler platter at Salumi, co-founded by Armandino Batali, father of Mario Batali. Not impressed (at all, really), but great customer service. Come early, bc things sell out.

Fantastic and worth waiting. Come early though, they run out of stuff. Had the supressata with gorgonzola and loved it.

The best homemade cured meats this side of Italy. Savor a lamb prosciutto or meatball sandwich for under $10, and opt for the fresh gnocci if it’s offered. Lines are long so go early. En savoir plus

I never liked salami and never knew what's the big deal about it, but this place changed my mind! Come early before they're sold out. I was lucky to get the last sandwich :)

Charcuterie heaven on earth ran by Mario Battali's family. Mom is heavily involved in arts and philanthropy at SAM so keep an eye out for when these two worlds collide at events! Fresh gnocchi!

Armandino Batali is to be credited with spreading the flavors of the Italian table in Seattle. His daughter Gina now runs this popular eatery, where at lunchtime the line wraps around the block.

Expect to wait at least 30 minutes to get in when it's busy, but it's definitely worth the wait. Delicious salumi and other porky goodness on the menu. Come hungry!

Four words: meatball sandwich with gorgonzola. In a slightly dodgy part of town, only open on Tu-F at lunch (11-3:30, get there early). The pancetta is overrated in my opinion.

Killer soppressata. Old man Battali is so kind to out-of-towners. Told us were to go around the block to grab a table outside. You know it's locals only when your concierge has never heard of it.

Go before they open or expect a line, a 20+ min wait is common. Also, the dining area is SMALL. If it's nice out, get it to go, walk to Main St & So 2nd Ave Ext, eat @ Waterfall Garden Park, an oasis! En savoir plus

$40 for 2 salumi sandwiches, a small cup of minestrone soup, and orange juice, and a tip. Not as good as Italy. Bit too salty. Bread could be fresher. Peppers/cheese excellent.
