Dress code is business/smart casual. I'd recommend at least a nice shirt + jeans (no sneakers/sandals). Jackets not required, but great for a date or special occasion if you want to dress to impress!

What makes Nakazawa a satisfyingly uniform experience is that the head chef personally serves everyone at the bar. ★★★

Omakse. Top purest sushi spot in the city. A place like sushi of gari is also excellent but they aren't all about the fish. This is place shows off the best sushi from local/international waters.

Perfect sushi. Every detail of each piece is worked through. Don't be upset if the dining room is fully booked, sushi in the sushi bar are as good as omakase in the dining room, same chefs in both.

If you can get a resy, grab it. Of course, only on the day the Master is there. If possible pick the sushi bar instead of a table. So much more fun. It just heightens the sushi experience.

Sushi was perfect- service was a 7. Our sommelier was impeccably helpful and kind, but our waiter was a bit of a snob and certainly talked down to us. My favorite pieces were scallop and japanese Uni!

This was the best sushi I've had between Tokyo and New York. So fresh and perfectly seasoned. Definitely order the wagyu sushi a la carte after your omakase experience - it was one of the highlights!

You can easily drop in to eat in the lounge without a reservation; it's not crowded. No omakase there but plenty of exquisite sushi flights and maki rolls.

Don't go here unless you're sitting at the sushi bar. Waiters bringing you sushi in a fairly modern atmosphere isn't quite the same experience.

Overrated. Better sushi: Tanoshi, Cagen, Soto, 15 East. Michelin was right to not give them any stars. Some pieces are very good but most are lackluster. Mostly the fish texture is too chewy.

Obviously great sushi from Nakazawa. $150 for lengthy omakase, but it'll be $225-350 total w/ a la carte/gratuity/sake. Just not worth it
