The only place to go out on a Wednesday night in Philly (besides Voyeur across the street). Campy music in the front, hip-hop (inexplicably) in the back with all the neon lighting.
The best gay club in Philly IMO. There are other great clubs in the city for the gays, but Woodys by far (especially after the renovation) is a treat & a great spot to introduce a new gay to the city.
This gayborhood haven for all boasts a welcoming vibe conducive to LGBT singles looking to meet someone; equal parts pub and club, the downstairs offers food and a large beer selection.

Once inside, it was filled with straight people spilling drinks, bumping into others, and making out.- When you are here at Woody's you need to try any of the Yards beers. They have 3 right now to choose from!

Mixed drinks are expensive ($10) but have more than twice the amount of alcohol than other places. So it's a good deal - just pace yourself.
Surprisingly good beer list. What really shines is the dance floor
Bring ear plugs, the fire alarm is sure to go off . . . Four times. Ya would never know these are apparently experts in owning clubs
If you just want to dance for a little bit, wait until 1:30 to hit the dance floor. They waive cover for the last half hour.
