Jeff became CEO of Foursquare in January 2016, after 18 months as COO of the company. Jeff has grown Foursquare into a location intelligence data powerhouse, with a suite of B2B products in addition to its consumer apps Foursquare City Guide and Swarm. Prior, Jeff was CEO of Skyfire Labs, a Silicon Valley-based mobile technology company acquired by Opera Software. He co-founded site59.com, an online travel company that grew to over $100 million in sales in two years, and was acquired by Travelocity. In the following seven years he served as chief marketing officer at Travelocity, where sales expanded from $3 billion to $11 billion globally, he introduced the “roaming gnome” and launched a fast-growing contextual advertising business. Previously, Jeff was a strategy consultant at Monitor Company and served as a White House Fellow in the Clinton Administration.

Steven Rosenblatt


As President of Foursquare, Steven is responsible for all aspects of strategy and implementation of the products and partnerships that drive company’s explosive revenue, as well as all related support, marketing and business development functions. He oversees the company’s business solutions suite, which includes Pinpoint by Foursquare, Attribution by Foursquare, Foursquare Analytics and Foursquare's Places API and Pilgrim SDK for developers. In April 2017, he was coined as a "startup warrior" by Entrepreneur magazine.

Before joining Foursquare, Steven launched iAd, Apple’s pioneering advertising platform for brands and developers, where he led advertising sales and strategy and managed all related business functions. Steven served as senior vice president of advertising sales at Quattro Wireless until it was acquired by Apple in January 2010. Steven has more than 18 years of experience building internet and digital businesses and is on the Board of Directors of The Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) and the North American Board of Directors for the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA). Steven holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Michigan.

Jon Hoffman

Senior Vice President of Engineering

Foursquare’s senior vice president of engineering is also one of the company’s longest-tenured employees. Before stepping into the SVP role in 2016, “Hoff” led engineering for Pinpoint, Attribution and Native Ads, directing the monetization team as these businesses grew more than 160% in 2015. He has also served as both director of engineering for the Foursquare app and for Foursquare Infrastructure, overseeing onboarding flow and building the offline analytics stack that now powers much of the consumer, enterprise, and media products. Before joining Foursquare in 2010, Hoff was a software engineer at Goldman Sachs where he worked on a distributed system for assessing market and credit risk. He also worked as a software developer at Dresdner Kleinwort (now Commerzbank); Qwest (now CenturyLink); and Net Health Systems.

Matt Kamen

VP, Engineering and Head of Enterprise, Monetization, and Core Technology

As vice president of engineering and head of enterprise, monetization, and core technology, Matt oversees some of Foursquare's most distinctive work, including our revenue-driving engineering products—Pinpoint, Attribution, Foursquare Analytics, Native Ads and our Places developer tools—as well as Pilgrim, Pilgrim SDK, the venues database, and all of our data science and machine learning teams. Prior to joining Foursquare in 2011, Matt worked in search and web technologies for Goldman Sachs. A musician at heart—he plays the bass—he's also a luthier. Born and raised in Manhattan and a Harvard graduate, he now lives in Washington Heights with his family.

Chief Financial Officer

Rory is chief financial officer at Foursquare, leading the company’s financial planning, accounting and operations. Prior to joining Foursquare, Rory served as CFO at several companies in the technology, healthcare and music industries. He spent 13 years as a finance executive at Jive Records where it grew from a small boutique hip hop label to the world’s largest independent record company and a multi-billion dollar exit. He has extensive experience in finance and leadership in the technology, media, healthcare and entertainment industries.

Marc Ellenbogen

General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer

As General Counsel, Marc is responsible for guidance regarding litigation risks, corporate initiatives, risk management, equity, employment, regulatory and all other legal and compliance matters at Foursquare. Marc has nearly 20 years of legal experience across major advertising and media companies including Undertone, where he served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer prior to joining Foursquare, and Time Inc. where he spent more than 10 years in Assistant and Associate General Counsel Roles.

Marc earned a J.D. from Boston College Law School and an MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business with specializations in Management and Entrepreneurship & Innovation.

Meghan Lapides

VP, Human Resources

Elyse Estrada

Over the past four years at Foursquare, Elyse has overseen the execution of media campaigns for Fortune 500 national brands, the integration of our first-party data to provide client insights and attribution, and managed Foursquare’s third-party advertising reseller partnerships globally, specifically focusing on Turkey and Latin America. Prior to Foursquare, Elyse was a marketing manager at the Swedish retail giant H&M, responsible for all advertising and marketing for the U.S. and Mexican markets. She also worked on the agency side as a media supervisor at Mediacom, where she earned the recognition of OMMA’s “Rising Media Superstar” award in 2005. She’s a graduate of Brown University.

Gayle Fuguitt

Chief of Customer Insights and Innovation

Gayle Fuguitt is the chief of customer insights and innovation for Foursquare's business solutions suite, which includes mobile media targeting, measurement and location analytics. Previously, Gayle was the first woman to lead the Advertising Research Foundation when she became CEO and president in April 2013. Prior to that she was at General Mills for 32 years, building and leading the organization as the first officer of global consumer insights and bringing the voice of the consumer to the decision table. After earning her undergraduate degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she earned a master’s with a concentration in marketing research from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. A passionate supporter of non-profits, she remains a trustee at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, and is on the board of advisors to the Brooklyn Museum. Gayle was inducted into the Market Research Council’s Hall of Fame in 2014. She lives in New York City with her husband, Tom.

Swen Graham

VP, Global Creative + Strategy

Swen heads up the creative and brand strategy team at Foursquare, which focuses on strategic partnerships, design, marketing, creative & platform development for all enterprise and sales products. Before joining Foursquare in 2012, Swen held the title of creative strategist and brand evangelist at Apple; worked in marketing at Quattro Wireless, the mobile advertising startup; and was a strategist at Y&R / Wunderman. He started his career in politics, running fundraising efforts for a successful U.S House of Representatives campaign. Swen has two bikes and two passports and tries to use all four as often as possible. He lives in the West Village and his spirit animal is the Red Panda.

Mike Harkey

VP, Business Development

In his role as global head of the Business Development team, Mike is responsible for the commercialization of Foursquare's enterprise data and technology products. His team partners with some of the world's largest companies to unlock powerful location intelligence solutions via the Pilgrim SDK, Foursquare Analytics, Foursquare's API, and the Places database. Previously, Mike served as head of business development and API platforms at Songkick and ImageShack. He also led categories that generated over $250 million at eBay.

Mike received an MBA from Stanford University, where he is the author of over 20 business school case studies. He resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife, two children, and four backyard chickens.

Robert Joseph

VP, Infrastructure Engineering

In 2016, Rob Joseph stepped into the role of VP and head of infrastructure engineering, a strong testament to his past efforts directing the Foursquare production team as it created industry-leading cloud API platforms and scaled infrastructure to support a growing user base and increased product complexity. Previously, he worked as an engineer at Google, building much of the company's early network infrastructure; as a field engineer for Schlumberger in the Gulf of Mexico; and constructed a house by hand in San Francisco. A graduate of Cornell, he is a Pittsburgh native and spends a lot of time skiing.

Peter Krasniqi

VP, Global Sales Strategy & Operations

As VP of global sales strategy & operations, Peter Krasniqi is responsible for ad strategy at Foursquare, concentrating on the monetization of our location data and technology via the company’s advertising products: Pinpoint, Attribution and native ads. He joined from Tapad (now Telenor Mobile) where he was vice president of performance and business development, overseeing the creation of the industry’s first cross-device Linear TV product, TV Pulse. Previously, “PK” launched iAd for Developers at Apple and served as director of performance ad sales at Quattro Wireless. He graduated from the University of Michigan.

Celestine Maddy

VP, Marketing

Celestine Maddy is the VP of Marketing at Foursquare, overseeing the brand strategy, communications, and consumer marketing of our apps, Foursquare City Guide and Foursquare Swarm. Before joining Foursquare in July 2017, Celestine was the VP of Marketing for Reddit. She has spent the last fifteen years working in marketing at start-ups, ad agencies, and at consumer publications. Celestine also is the founder of Wilder Quarterly, which was a print magazine about plants and the great outdoors. She is also the co-author of the book, A Wilder Life, which was published in 2015. She is married to Matthew Maddy, a James Beard-nominated restaurant designer and owner. They live in Brooklyn with their daughter, Ripley Roy.

Michael Rosen

VP, Sales

Michael Rosen leads all sales initiatives across Foursquare’s brand and agency partners, helping to propel Foursquare to more than 160% revenue growth in 2015. An industry leader specializing in both large media and early-stage companies, Michael has also held roles including chief revenue officer at First Look Media (started by eBay founder Pierre Omidyar), and vice president, online and mobile sales at AT&T AdWork. Prior to AT&T, Michael held sales, marketing and general management positions at Oggifinogi, Babelgum, WeatherBug, Bloomberg Media and Showtime Networks. He serves on the executive board of the Newhouse 44 and Upstream Group Seller Forum advisory board, and received his MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University.
