Get fast track security as you go in - £3 will save you a 20 minute wait in the queue.

It's like a building site at the moment. If parking it takes some time to navigate around the construction.

LTN is a 20 minute taxi from my home - Heathrow 45-60 minutes and Gatwick an hour by train. Door to plane door, LHR and Gatwick still win. That's saying something.

Security check is much smoother and better organised than it used to be. Trays so big you could bathe a dog in them!

The airport bus is free, as long as you have a rail ticket from Luton Airport to your destination. London St Pancras is just 20 minutes away!

Power points at 2 tables in est caffe, 1 down other end of lounge in cafeteria under the tv, another on tiled column in central island. Power up!

Looking for plug without a padlock over it. Breakfast bar seating in 'the real food company'. Coffee not great but access to power socket is invaluable.

Bringing liquids on the plane? You can't use your own clear bags. Only theirs that cost £1 as only those can "prove" you have less than 1 litre of liquids in them.

£3 for priority lane access at security is money well spent. Much more worth it than 'speedy boarding'!

Worst London airport ever. the cost from Luton to central London is at least 15.50 each way and queues to get out are ridiculous. Took an hour and you still have to take a shuttle to get a train. :(

Make sure you drop off in the correct place - they pounce on you here even if you make a genuine mistake !

If you have a late flight don't go through security earlier than you need to-the cafés and coffee bars close at 8pm on the other side.

This is the worst airport in England. Took ages to get the shuttle from the train station plus you have to pay £2. Small and cramped and every one that works there does things in slow motion!

Welcome to the Olympic Games of Queueing! Going to Tatry? There are like 5 seats next to gate, so you have to stand in queue from hell. If you have chance of flying from Luton, pick another airport.

APCOA parking BANDITS, £1 per minute. £55 for waiting for less than 40 mins. The return flight cost £80, the London Zipcar £37. Like backlot parking spivs. Shame APCOA & Luton Airport.

If you need electric plugs, there are some on the arrival hall on the pillars near the benches, close to the exit

Limited free wifi (1 hour since you log in). However, the phone charging station is a plus: you can lock and charge your phone for free for 30min

Short stay parking is £36 per day - medium term if £18.80 per day - long term is £14 per day (3 day minimum stay) - cheaper if you pay in advance online

It takes forever for the bags to come out. I was standing there 1 hour for the bags, same as the flights from before me. It takes the joy out of flying and it makes you only angry at waiting at that.

If you have 30 bags to get into terminal building, go to delivery barrier and press the intercom. If you reason with the "highly trained staff" they will open the barrier and let you in to drop off
