Nice area as a part of Garðabær city. Try to stroll along the shore and enjoy nature but don't expect to be super welcomed by the local inhabitants.

Good facilities (hot plate, kettle, recycling bins, outdoor grill, wifi). Great brand new heated showers/bathrooms in the back. About 30-35min walk to the centre at a moderate pace.

There are really few walks as romantic as the one to Grótta. You could have unforgettable moments away from the downtown. But don't forget the island is only reachable when the tide is low.
Great atmosphere, free wifi, a bit small but cute, perfect for read something. Just find somewhere to sit and enjoy ;)
