The mother of all tripels, the Westmalle Tripel, was called Superbier until 1956. It's a strong blonde ale, refermented in the bottle for 3 weeks. A true style icon. Often imitated, never duplicated.
Excellent brewery. The Belle-Fleur and Noblesse Extra-Ordinaire are among my favorites.

The museum is a nice experience as you travel throughout history and get to know this fine Antwerp beer. Must visit! Afterwards you can taste different beers yourself (my favorite part ;) )

De rondleiding in de brouwerij is de moeite waard... De bieren zijn top...
