Remo Malarik: Basically the very middle of the city center. Just wander through the streets til you get to the top. Wander around outside on the ramparts to get some good views.
Remo Malarik: Through here is the Zerostrasse, a series of tunnels underneath Pula. Supposedly in the summer evenings this is the place to be: lots of food, music, and vendors. We just missed it though!
Remo Malarik: This bakery is actually a chain, but even still it was really good. Any bakery will do. Make sure to get the Burek pastries and try all the different kinds: meat, cheese, spinach, etc.
Remo Malarik: If you're looking for a quite morning or afternoon, the aquarium which is built into an old fortress was very cool. Good for a couple hours.
Remo Malarik: And after the aquarium, this place had a cool patio for watching the sunset. A bit more expensive than a local bar, but like I said, cool location.
Remo Malarik: Beautiful medieval town right on the water. We didn't actually do all that much here, but just wandering the streets and along the water for a couple hours is awesome.
Remo Malarik: Very cool little "cove" next to the water where you can hang out or even jump in. Nearby were also a couple bars where you could grab a drink and sit by the water.
Remo Malarik: Make sure to go to dinner at one of the local (usually) family-owned traditional restaurants called a "Konoba". I'm sure they're all great, but we ended up going to this one and we enjoyed everything.
Remo Malarik: Really cool medieval town built right into the mountain/hillside. FYI you can drive your car most of the way up. The town itself is pretty small and not much to do, but still cool for a couple hours.
Remo Malarik: This fjord was pretty cool, although not really a must see. If you've got some extra time on your way to/from Rovinj then it's something to do.
Remo Malarik: Unfortunately we didn't have time/it was too windy. But this national park came highly recommended; great place for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking.
