Leave extra time if you are taking the AirTrain at the airport. Not very reliable lately.
FlightCenter.comJanvier 3, 2012TSA TIP #3 Remove your laptop(s) and shoes/belts while waiting in line for the x-ray machines and carry them in your hands to be ready for the bins, remember laptops are placed in a bin by itself.
I mean it's an airport. Not my favorite that I've ever been to.

The airport code is EWR because codes starting with 'N' are reserved for Navy air bases.

If you are using the charging station, one outlet per person you selfish pig.
Cabs to Manhattan are $ 90-110. You are better off buying more expensive ticket to La Guardia.

Terminal A, is the old terminal, very little has changed in 30 years, Term B they are renovating (now but still looks like Term A some what). Term C is completely different, looks like a shopping mall
If headed to the United Red Carpet Club in Terminal A, try to get in the first TSA line. Otherwise you'll be tracing your steps on a long corridor walk back.

Every time I fly, I am reminded why people do so less and less. More fees, attitude, rude behavior and longer lines. Get yourselves togethet, airlines!
The heliport is exposed to the weather, dress accordingly
If you end up in other terminal than C, you are f#$%&
There's nothing before or after security in Terminal B but free treats and wifi if you fly Porter Airlines
Global Entry privileges are ineffective. Even at 5am.
