Very crowded so arrive early, and 11am is not early. Beautiful temple that is partly under construction, but the walk up plus the adjoining temples make this a must see.
Take the Kintetsu limited express train between here and Kyoto Station. Very quick. Reserve your seat.

Absolutely stunning temple and daibutsu. Do yourself a favor and get exploring as there are tons of little temples further up the hill.
Such a beautiful park. The earlier in the morning the better. By noon this park is filled with thousands of tourists.

Staff are friendly and there is a Lawson's on the main floor. Rooms are cute but dated. Cheap, English speaking, clean = great value.
Beautiful pedestrian bridge. Highly recommend you give it a go while exploring the river valley through downtown.
Great coffee. Even more expensive than Starbucks. But it is also cozier than most Starbucks locations.
It's a good little gym. Usually only around 4-8 people at a time so sharing equipment is not an issue. Only issue is the limited # of bench press, squat. Etc. usually not a problem.
The nachos are great. Music is just loud enough so you do not hear other tables talking, but not so loud that it affects your own tables conversations.
Staff are friendly and the drinks tasty. It is also faster than either of the mall Starbucks locations.
Staff are hit or miss, but the good ones are fabulous. Nice animals and lots of snakes. Probably the best store in the city for fish, reptiles, and amphibians.
Everything about this restaurant is 'ok'. The only reason to go is for the amazing 360 degree view, which is fantastic.
Great service and great food. We had my wife's birthday here and they were very classy and low key with celebrating it. Glitter and other items on the table and a free dessert. No singing :)
The rooftop patio is quite nice, although as a taller guy the seats were a bit uncomfortable. The food, beer, and service were good.
Great customer service, even after I told them I would not be buying for 1-2 years. They still took me out, showed me around, and treated me with respect (on a busy day as well).
