Kursad Albayraktaroglu: Real BBQ, the way Texans used to enjoy it one hundred years ago. Not for the faint of heart, don't expect much in the way of fancy decoration and ambience. Worth the drive to Lockhart.

Kursad Albayraktaroglu: Not sure why this place claims to be the best ice cream in Rome - the ice cream is certainly OK, but visit here mostly for its history. A serving of ice cream costs DOUBLE if you want to sit inside!

Kursad Albayraktaroglu: I love this place and try to stop by every time I am in San Francisco. Kids love the various varieties of bread in fun shapes, and it's a great place to grab a quick lunch or breakfast.

Kursad Albayraktaroglu: The view is great, the food is nothing to write home about. Still, pretty much the only place in Austin to bring your guests in for a dinner by the lake: go figure.
