Seasonal squashscone had spot-on texture. Jam and ricotta that accompany the made-to-order beignets may be better than the beignets themselves.. Can't wait to try breakfast sandwiches & cocopie!
Try the Jalousie (butternut squash, goat cheese, and arugulapastry). Really good and savory. The mini coconut cream pie is good too. No where to sit indoors so plan accordingly.
Be sure to try their banana cream pies (or coconut, if that's your thing). The former is seasonal, so if you're lucky enough to show up when they have it, don't think twice!
Definitely the best bakery in Seattle, possibly the country. Get a Bacon Sammy to eat right away and a mix of cookies/bars/pie bites to eat later in the day.
This place is tiny and crowded but it's for a reason. Excellent cherrychocolate chunkcookie, and chocolatebutter pecan was good, too. I wanted to try the coconut cream pie so bad!
Standing room only--for take out. On a cold, wet, windy day you have to squeeze inside to escape the elements. Then find a place to enjoy your purchases.
Stop what you're doing and get the fresh donuts.They're served in a paper bag with cinnamon and sugar to shake, and cups of mascarpone and jam for dipping.
CC bites are awesome, so more must be better right? The bites are just the right ratio of cream to crust. Buying the next size up to share w/friends, may be more bites than anyone of you can chew.
Order whole coconut cream pies by phone ahead of time. They charge a $5 plate deposit, but refund it if you return the plate at any time in the future.
