Off site rental return so give yourself plenty of time. Love the rotating art displays on the first floor. With checking out on your way to baggage claim
Be sure to sign up for the program TSA pre-check. It is a fantastic program and will save Tons of time at Lambert Airport. C gates have a rapid entry point where you don't have to remove shoes, etc.
At security, put your wallet, phone, keys, change, etc. in your bag or your coat pocket. It keeps your stuff together and it's much easier to get your stuff on the other side of the x-ray
Don't forget to leave your computer in your carry-on, your shoes tied tightly to your feet and with any toiletries, be sure they're in oversized containers haphazardly placed in your satchel.
Hands down one of the nicest and cleanest airports I've been in! The bathroom stalls are large enough to fit your carry one without having fear of tripping and falling to the lu!
Terminal 2 (or the East Terminal) is a breeze to deal with. With TSA Pre-Check I am through security in less than 15 minutes (even when busy) and the food options a good and have a lot of variety.
While at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, enjoy the art glass installations in concourses A and C. Nine local artists created concepts for an overall glass canvas of nearly 50 square feet.
Make sure to get here early as security lines are long and don't always move quickly, especially for SW. Good food choices beyond security though which is a nice change.
To get through security quickly, have liquids and computers out of ur bag and shoes and coats off and put it all on the belt to scan. Toss the water or down it. Babies out of their carriers too!
Came earlier if possible. TSA lines could take half hour and i a rush, you could miss your flight. There's 3 nice restaurants near A15 gate, and also a gift shop eith Cardinals apparel!
Find the secret "family" bathrooms if you can. Most people are confused as to whether or not they are allowed to use them so they are usually unoccupied and they are much cleaner!!
Some great history with TWA, unfortunately that ship sailed many years ago. If you stay at the airport Hilton you can see some great pics of Lambert in its glory days.
If your traveling with a service dog don't be nervous. Everyone knew what to do and no one gave me the third degree or asked a lot of questions. Made me much more comfortable!!!
Have some time to eat and want to get a local taste while you're at it? Check out the tasty fare spiced with locally-sourced BBQ sauce and the hometown craft brews at Schlafly's.
All of my apple devices were offered complimentary wifi via boingo but my fiances HTC they kept trying to charge him. How bout that? So I guess there is free wifi if you are an Apple device holder
The Metrolink is $4.00 one ride good for 2 hours...that will get you all the way to Shiloh-Scott in Illinois...& don't forget to validate your ticket...fines are steep!
If you booked with Southwest but you are flying Air Tran you still need to check in with SouthWest. Also if you are going into "the city" so much cheaper to take Metro( $4.00 vs$40.00) .Straight shot
At any airport, wear your flip flops, it makes getting through security so much faster! Put your other shoes in a bag, and ladies flip flops fit in your purse.
Hop on the Metrolink at either terminal, and it’ll get you where you need to be. Plus, it’ll bring you right to us! For more insider tips, follow @MoonriseHotel at bit.ly/moonriseTW.
If nothing scans on my body that is suspect, why does TSA still pat me down with THE SAME gloves 🧤 they’re using on everyone else? GROSS! Change those things! They’re disposable!! It’s flu season!
Terminal E is nice and long, perfect for walking during your layover. Maybe if more people did that, they'd actually fit in the airplane seats. Just saying.
