What a great impression this place made on my "rookie" visit. Just a great time all around, great food and the staff really turned the ordering process into a fun experience.
Get the moist cut of brisket if you want serious flavor. Otherwise, cutter's choice works too. Order between .5 to .75 lbs of meat per person of a few different cuts and take the rest home as needed.
Everything here is good!!! Extra moist brisket, THE RIBS (both kinds), turkey, chicken, cream corn, sweet tea, the service, the hand washer. I love this place!!
I love the prime rib from Rudy's. Always moist and fork tender. I'm never there early enough to try their breakfast tacos but my associates tell me they're wonderful.
Beautiful inside restaurant with country store. Pickup breakfast tacos on your way to work in the morning or enjoy lunch or dinner for dine in and take out.
Rudy's does have excellent sausage & brisket. I think the sauce is too peppery but you may like it just fine. The cream corn is loaded w/ the heavy cream & butter that will make your heart sing out!
The brisket and the baby-backs lead the pack in very deep BBQfield. Bonus that I top off my tank with a few Shiners and top off my car's tank with Shell gasoline.
Breakfast tacos are a great on the go breakfast. We preferred the egg and sausage one because the eggs were soft and buttery and the sausage is more like a country ham.
Brisket was awesome, staff super friendly, fast service. We walked into a huge line but they had it well under control and we were served in no time! :-)
Extra moist brisket, half a hottie (Sausage with a touch of jalapeño) and the cream corn go well together. You can order just a quarter of a pound of brisket instead of half.
Can't find anything bad here at all. Staff are fun at all locations visited (at least 5 different). Always say it's your first time. Just do it (sorry Nike but I'm taking it)
For on the go BBQ this place isn't bad. It would be pretty hard to be bad in Austin but, this place I had late one night after arriving to town and it was great!
The lean cut is way too lean, and the moist might be too fatty for some, although it's my preference. Cutters choice is a good in between, but still might be too lean for some.
wow is that good bbq. go family style and share, but be sure to get the fatty brisket, turkey, jalapeno links and creamed corn. then get more creamed corn for dessert.
Rudy's is my second favorite BBQ in Austin, after the Salt Lick. Since it's closer to my house, I end up going to Rudy's more often. I love their lean brisket and Gabe's favorite is the Spicy Chop. We
Rudy’s “Country Store” and Bar-B-Q serves Real Texas Bar-B-Q... seven days a week. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and group meals.(Plus d'informations)
