The collection encompasses more than 5,000 years of human expression from around the world & more than 260,000 pieces. The Modern Wing was opened in 2009 & is the largest expansion in their history.
One of the nation's largest facilities devoted to the art of our time the Museum offers exhibitions of art created since 1945. It boasts a terraced sculpture garden with a great view of Lake Michigan.
