After going to about 9 NYC bike shops in search of the best performance hybrid, I found that Bicycle Habitat definitely had the best selection. Staff is hit or miss, but overall a great spot.

Friendliest service, super helpful and fast! I went to another bike shop on Hudson before coming here and was totally ripped off by unhelpful people. This is the best spot for everything.

My favorite bike store in the city. Generous return policy, unlimited free tune-ups, and great staff and selection. Look out for trade-in-weekend, which happens 2x per year

Bike fitting happens 2 doors down at 246 Lafayette. Friendly folks, clearly explained what they were tweaking when fitting me for my bike.
