Large zoo. Layout is a bit confusing even with a map. Be sure to plan before you walk so that you have a chance to see everything. Enclosures are nice and allow you to get up close to the animals.

This zoo opened in 1875 making it the second largest zoo in the USA. One unique thing about this zoo is that the Reptile House is the oldest existing Zoo building in the country, dating from 1875.

If you stay past 4 pm the crowds really thin out. Wear good shoes! Keep souvenir cups for cheap refills next visit. Bring quarters and pennies for souvenir penny machines. Zoo shop has neat stuff!

Loved this zoo! It's huge, they have everything from condors to elephants, and the zoo is very walkable. The animals are up close, and there were a number you could pet. Great zoo, great day.

The plant collections are a unique blend of gardens and exhibits that demonstrate the diversity of plants and their relationship to humans and animals. There are over 3,000 kinds of plants to see.

The PNC Festival of Lights features hundreds of thousands of LED lights all over the zoo. You'll also find a huge Christmas tree, Santa and his reindeer and a walk-through tunnel of lights. En savoir plus

Amazing!! The PNC lights festival is so nice, even in winter with not a lot of animals the zoo is one of the best I've ever been!

We do festival of lights each year between Christmas and New Years. You can park on the street for free if you don't mind a little walk.

Dine among the vistas of lions and cheetahs in Phase III of the Africa exhibit at the Cincinnati Zoo when it opens this summer. The exhibit also features indoor-outdoor facilities and restaurant.

Get there early and grab your tickets for a 4D show. We saw the Wizard of Oz and it was awesome. Everyone loved it from my 9 year old daughter to Grandma!

Make sure you plan your day around your visit. Also make sure you get a map and plan out your path through the zoo so you can see everything.

The "Greenest Zoo in America" is building a solar canopy to provide 20% of energy needs, incorporates a green roof & water retention tanks to reduce rainwater runoff & has a bio-diesel powered train

Check out the new wind turbine in their Go Green Garden (near the new entrance). Along with the solar panels, it provides 1/3 of the energy for the ticketing/information building. En savoir plus

Coolest job I've ever had! Be sure to check out the World of the Insect building. The leaf-cutter ants are amazing!
