Curry Matsuba: Old school full fat dairy milk cream cakes - the way God intended. Get orange angel food if you're OG. If you dig icing, exit the front door and dig a hole to lie in. Must pre-order! Worth it.

Curry Matsuba: Consistently good. But if you want Big Spicy, look them in the eye and let them know you mean it. Otherwise that annoying paternalistic Taiwan habit will anger you to pull a khal drogo w the cauldron

Curry Matsuba: Dare I say this is as good as pho gets in Taipei? Raw beef slice pho comes with all its accoutrements and the Viet spring rolls are authentic. they all speak Viet and it's cheap as dirt.
Curry Matsuba: IMO one of the better coffee roasters in town with a few house blends and at least 3-4 single origins within a week of roasting available. Price is equal to quality.
Curry Matsuba: Thus far, the only authentic Korean BBQ in Taipei. Good meat quality but unfortunately it's gas not charcoal. Just. Can't. Have. It. All.

Curry Matsuba: Side dishes all good. No sugar on the noodles unless you want it to taste like every other Taiwanese noodle joint. Otherwise,'close to the mark flavor-wise.

Curry Matsuba: Not sure why all the kids open pasta shops because it really isn't that easy to make good pasta. Solo does it well considering the bar isn't set too high. Would repeat.
Curry Matsuba: Only had takeout pour over once: good coffee but takes itself a bit too seriously IMO. 20m wait for a cup of coffee because of all the ornamental movements in pourover technique. Yawn.
Curry Matsuba: Hands down the most underrated coffee joint in Taipei. From green beans to black gold in a cup, this is a serious coffee drinker's coffee bar. Best of Taiwan contender
Curry Matsuba: Old school Shanghainese home-style food w/o the cornstarch slick and rock sugar laden goopiness. Never see young people there because flavors and decor are three decades past - a good thing
Curry Matsuba: Indian spices, dried legumes, grains, cans, and pantry items and equipment, including Himalaya Ayurvedic products, and more. Cheaper than any supermarket in town.
Curry Matsuba: Funny enough, everything but the scallion bread (it’s alright) is excellent. Flaky, fragrant, flavorful and not heavy or greasy. Best in TPE contender.
