Super cool tourist attraction that's best to visit at night. Of the two indoor exhibits, the cloud dome is definitely a must see, but feel free to skip the flower dome..unless you really like flowers
Go up to the top of the building for an amazing view (especially at night)...you can't use the pool, but Ku De Ta (the club on top) will let you use their deck if you buy a drink!
The shoppes inside are also pretty cool, but the evening light show is a great little event. Shows are at 8 and 9:30 daily, plus at 11 on the weekends.
Gong Cha exists in a lot of Singapore's malls, and is my favorite bubble tea. I like the ginger tea at like 25% sweetness--Asian desserts are VERY sweet, so I'd maybe go to like 10% for you :)
DTFs are located in most malls in SG, and is legitimately MY FAVORITE IN THE WORLD. Soup dumplings are a must, but I also love the sesame noodles, cucumber salad, vegetable buns, & red bean buns
Probably the best known mall in SG (a country of malls), and worth a visit, even if you're not super into shopping. The food court in the basement is also great.
One of the 2 best known restaurants in Little India, with the 1st being the Banana Leaf Apollo. We really liked the fish head curry here!
I think that this is the main Hawker Center in Chinatown. Go here for clay pot rice (which is great) or dessert soups. This is also where I've seen juiced sugar cane.
This is an expat-y area for when you get sick of Asian food (it is possible) and want something western for less than a bagillion dollars. I really liked the pizza place on the main drag!
Another great soup dumpling place which has crazy flavors (I'm a classicist with soup dumplings, but others really liked it). On the top floor of the ION Orchard.
A super cute shopping street off the beaten path--I think that Barbara would really like this if she ever goes!
Crazy huge 24-hour mall! You can find literally anything here, and might get pretty lost if you're not careful :)
This is one of a bunch of main clubbing areas, but there are also some lovely restaurants that are on docked boats in the river.
The Orchid Garden is a must-see! Try to go in the morning when it's (slightly) less hot, and be sure to bring your camera.
Our favorite Hawker Center--get Tian Tian Chicken Rice (one of the best in Singapore!) as well as something called "carrot cake" (still unclear what that is) and century egg if you're brave!
The Arab Quarter is a lovely place to sit and work at a coffeeshop, most of whom have pretty reliable wifi. Some good Middle Eastern food around here too!
Yes, fish pedicures are weird, but they are also fun. If you ever want to get one, you should get it in SG, where it's most likely sanitary. Try Kenko, which is in lots of malls (and the airport too)

I thought this was just OK, but apparently Nico really liked it. It's kind of THE tourist attraction in SG, but I thought it was a little like Disney's Animal Kingdom :-/
My favorite of SG's zoos, although a pain in the tuchus to get to. If you're trying to fill a day, though, this would work great!
This is a truly excellent history museum--so much so that I actually got kicked out at the end of the day when they were trying to close but I wasn't done yet! The moral of the story is to go early :)
Kind of a tourist trap, where people go to get their Singapore Slings (a drink I've never actually had in SG). It's pretty, though, and we had a nice dim sum there.
My favorite place to go for questionably reputable massages. A good price is approximately equal to $1SGD/min (or at least it was in 2012!).
One of the better known Hawker Centers, at night they close down one of the side roads (I think Robinson), set up little tables, and bring you lots of grilled meat on sticks. It's great.
A super cool and hip cafe with quality coffee and good Western food--come here if you're hankering for kale, whole grain toast, etc!
A new bar on the top floor of the National Gallery, this place has good cocktails and amazing views at night!
