- I'm not sure what makes this a "park" but I do love this block. Good fountain for cooling off in the summer and comes with its own Elephants for easy plaza snacks and drinks.
- Great Bratts - they have beer and wine and cocktails (!) and fabulous people watching - a more intimate "PDX Living Room"...a foyer, perhaps? :-)
- They have everything (except grass). Play giant chess or board games, play in the fountain then grab a bite at Elephant's.
- One of our more European style plazas. Modern space for people watching and events.
- Eric SchraderFévrier 2, 2016Fun area of downtown. Fox Tower movie theater is nearby and giant-sized chess board.
- Anne SmithJuillet 18, 2013This park has a neighborhood feel and lends itself to being a nice place to relax. Grab a beverage and watch some chess.
- Great place to eat the meal you've just purchased from the downtown foodcarts
- Emma CainAoût 18, 2017my fave place to chill and eat my freshly purchased froyo from tartberry just up the block
- JamesNovembre 2, 2011Nice in the summer at night, can go and relax with feet in the water with no one around
- The free WiFi is decent and there are many tables under trees or a glass roof.
- Run through the fountain then play chess on the bricks.
- Does anyone else see any irony in the fact that Teachers' fountain is lacking an apostrophe?
- Stop by the flying elephant for the perfect picnic
- Great place to eat lunch- there's always plenty of seating.
- They have the new fountain going, just waiting for you to make a wish...or go skinny-dipping!
- Go to Directory Park on a rainy day. The covered area keeps you dry but lets all the light through.
- There's parking underneath the park.
- Don't drink the water from the Teacher's Fountain
- Some people take their chess a little too seriously
