Great hardware and lumber store with a friendly staff. It costs a little more but worth only one stop.
Nice grove that is right by the highway but will less crowds and lovely fern coverage on the forest floor.
Beautiful state park. Bypass the crowded Founders Grove and Avenue of the Giants and hit up the Rockefeller and Big Tree Grove down Mattole Road for a more secluded experience.
Crazy crowded trail. Like being in a mall in the woods. Trees are impressive but head to the nearby Rockefeller or Big Trees loop trails for more seclusion and a better experience.
Gigantic fallen tree. Worth a stop and easy to get to. Impressive for a dead thing.
Delicious Venezuelan food in an unexpected setting. The local rock cod and shredded beef are great. They also have local cider and beer on tap.
Nice and easy 2 mile nature trail with a beautiful meadow and a nice view over the foggy ocean.
Adorable little lighthouse that was moved. Wish it was open more often for kids to explore.

They have everything you need to stock your vacation rental. Good selection of local wine as well.
One of the most beautiful beaches I’ve been to. Stunning even in the fog with rough surf. Stay out of the water as the waves are extremely unpredictable.
Fish and chips is great with the local cod. Beer is ok with “I Know Karate” double IPA the best of options. Great outdoor seating area that’s good for families and sunsets.
Nice to walk out to the end in the morning fog. Be sure to hit up the smokehouse for food.

A New York institution if now a little past it’s prime. Nice atmosphere and well done, if safe cuisine. You could certainly do a lot worse.

The best restaurant in LA by far. Tremendously inventive cuisine that is worth the money and the pretense. Go for the after dinner add on in the garden, it’s worth it.
Decent hotel restaurant with some interesting food. Atmosphere is a bit sterile but it’s a good choice especially for you are staying on site.
