If you're a fan of photography go to Foam! It was a good sized museum with 3 exhibitions when I was there but could be done in just a few hours. Not too crowded and has coat check/free lockers
Art museum focused in photography. Very trendy place, you will spot some hipsters. They have gift shop, café, library. I was there in January and got to se both Vivian Maier and Araki. Amazing work!
I had high expectations but I liked only one of the three exhibitions. I wanted to see more experimental techniques and hidden stories of everyday life captured by different photographers’ lenses.
Great photography museum and the most well known photographymuseum of Amsterdam. When you like this, don't forget to check out the other photographymuseum, Huis Marseille.
Great museum for photography lovers. They offer the best photo exhibitions in town. Check out their website to see what exhibitions they have or are coming up.
Great photography museum, they often have new installations and exhibitions. The café and the store are also really good - amazing posters for less than €8
One of my favourite museums. Changeling exhibitions only, no permanent collection. Visit and re-visit whenever you can and do not miss their annex in Felix Meritis.
Check out the Frame Store, a joint project with Frame Publishers and Foam PhotographyMuseum Amsterdam which functions as an events and exhibitions venue... En savoir plus
Great gallery of Mr. Araki. Very touching. Although with small corridors and a lot of stairs, the place feels very artistic and complements the artwork.
Foam is the go-to place if you have a thing for contemporary photography. Located in one of Keizersgracht's mansions, it hosts amazing expositions... En savoir plus
19yy.nin sonlarındaki rus fotoğrafçılığındaki renklendirmelerden tutun da,görseller eşliğinde sunulan bireysel soyut sanatın örneklerini sergileyen modern sanat mekanı. Mükemmel bir iç bahçesi de var.
Immensely enjoyed the current Magnum Contact Sheet exhibit, replete with the ability to look at the BACK of the images. Very inspiring. Top show👍🏻 #cglifestyle #photography #foursquarefind
Contemporary photography is the name of the game. If the line to enter stretches out the door, don't panic. It moves quickly, unlike at the Anne Frank house.
Saw the beautiful French photographer Jacques Lartigue exposition and a very intriguing presentation of the Blanco photos by Dutch photographer Awoiska van der Molen
Overpriced for the amount of space available for exhibitions. The amount of space they do have is not used very effectively. It's also safe to say the curator's tastes differ greatly with mine.
Don't waste your money! There are sooo many beautiful galleries and examples of local photography everywhere. Either FOAM need to reduce the price or increase the product on view!!!
