There are dolphins and seals in the water below the bridge. Just pay attention as you are walking across, and you will see at least one.

Avoid sightseeing the bridge during the commute or weekends. Off hours and during the week are much more enjoyable without the crowds and wait times.

Crucé a pié y estuvo amazing , cuando llegamos al otro lado del puente desde San Francisco , creiamos que Sausalito era cerca pero nos tocó llamar un uber!!!

Do make the full crossing and explore Sausalito, very nice little town with a couple of good restaurants for lunch. Then take a ferry back to SF, beats any tourist cruise!

This isn’t in the National Park System, and there’s no such thing as Golden Gate National Parks... only there are lands nearby that are managed by the National Park Service.

It only took us 45 min to walk across (one way) and we paused to take pictures along the way. Really fun walk! Do it!

Rent a bike from Fisherman's Wharf and bike across the bridge for a quicker tour. Watch out if it's a crowded day- the path is thin at points.
