Ieva G: One of my favourite streets in Berlin. Brilliant example of Stalinist architecture. Stroll down to Frankfurter Tor from Strausberger Platz and don't miss the information boards scattered along the way

Ieva G: Great for BBQs! (plenty of useful infrastructure such as Spätis, a gas station, bakeries, etc. nearby)

Ieva G: One of my favourite places in Berlin. Bring a beer, a book, a grill, a bike, a blanket, a kite, inline skates, running shoes or anything really, and enjoy the green emptiness in the heart of the city

Ieva G: the 10,88€ lunch buffet 12 to 15:30 is certainly a good deal. Sushi included.

Ieva G: Excellent bar/tiny cinema. Cozy, cheap beer and mostly good movies.

Ieva G: One of the cozier bars on Simon-Dach Str. Especially upstairs.

Ieva G: Hard to leave without a pile of books even if only dropping by for a quick coffee. Do not miss the vast amount of literature in the basement! 1€/book

Ieva G: Good to start or finish the night (morning) out at the kanal in summer

Ieva G: All you can eat for 20€ in the evenings. Not the best sushi ever, but might be worth if if you're really hungry

Ieva G: Make sure to visit the memorial in Treptower Park as well if you liked this

Ieva G: Impressive guided tours at the former Stasi-prison lead by former prisoners or historians. The free exhibition is interesting and informative as well.

Ieva G: So much more authentic and worth it than the famous checkpoint Charlie. Skip that and visit here instead!

Ieva G: An impressive memorial and an important piece of recent history of Berlin. Huge and so out of time/place. Off the beaten tourist track, but definitely worth seeing.

Ieva G: The fancier, bigger version of the apparently best chicken in Berlin just across the street. Same best chicken, more tables, also inside.

Ieva G: Decent sushi for a good price, especially for lunch

Ieva G: Definitely the best price/quality ratio in the area. Not the best sushi i've eaten, but good and cheap, happy hour almost all the time

Ieva G: Great vegan brunch, pay-what-you-can for the food on Sundays

Ieva G: A charming place to grab a tea/coffee/hot chocolate, definitely worth a visit!

Ieva G: Excellent sfogliatelle! And coffee.

Ieva G: Excellent pastries and ice cream.

Ieva G: Excellent brunch on Sundays! Very slow service at other times, but the brunch makes up for it.

Ieva G: Certainly one of the more decent 2,50-pizza/pasta places

Ieva G: Two words: Raspberry Tiramisu. Truly amazing. The rest of the dinner was delicious as well. Cozy place with helpful staff. Better make a reservation!

Ieva G: Breathtaking views of Florence, certainly worth the climb. Free admission.

Ieva G: Aperitivo Wed nights is a decent deal. Only a few pieces of sushi, but the buffet is good and it comes with 2 drinks. Served in a smokers area though.

Ieva G: Price/quality for cocktails is excellent.

Ieva G: Very good, but can get very crowded. Bring patience. Rather basic seating, but the burgers are great.
