Head 4 blocks south along Cambie and you'll hit Queen Elizabeth Park, one of Vancouver's most popular parks. Visit the gorgeous public gardens for sure. And there's a Frisbee golf course, too!
Leave the station and there's stores all around you, including City Square mall on 12th Ave. But head south along Cambie, and there's a strip of great local restaurants and shops toward 20th Ave too.
Walk the seawall to Granville Island for some fresh eats, unique arts and crafts, and fantastic street entertainment.

Nanaimo SkyTrain Station has one of the best views of Vancouver -- hop off and take a look around on the platform!
Head south to Central Park for recreation: tennis courts, outdoor swimming pool, horseshoe pitch and pitch-and-putt golf (and more!). The park's Swangard Stadium is also home to the Whitecaps FC!
