Get a free guided tour by one of the dojis who had lived through the internment camps who share their personal experiences. Most are in their 90s but so energetic and inspirational!

The exhibit on Japanese American internment is necessary and a must see. Museum staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

The changing exhibit typically lifts you up into a cheery mood and when it ends, you are thrust into the guilt of Japanese internment camps. Nice once, JANM.

Until Jan 8, it's the Tatau exhibit. Definitely worth a trip. Beautiful artwork and culture.

Well-curated, informative museum that pays particular attention to the immigration and subsequent internment of Japanese in the U.S. Do not skip the gift shop on your way out.

If you have relatives who lived in camp stop by the resource center and they can look up entry and exit information about them for you for free.
