Jesse Johnston: Under new management! This place is an absolute gem in the already impressive Palo Alto. Come enjoy a local wine to live music in an open, airy atmosphere. I can't recommend Vino Locale enough!
Coffee Shop · North Los Altos · 13 conseils et avis
Jesse Johnston: Although most Peet's locations are nothing more than a coffee shop, this one has a very California feel. With the outdoor seating, reclaimed wood and frequent Silicon Valley elite, this one is special
Jesse Johnston: One of my favorite Pizza My Heart locations, if not for the lively atmosphere then the incredibly professional, friendly staff. The wait staff don't blink an eye when you customize, so have at it.
Jesse Johnston: Awesome location in the center of the mall, complete with a reclaimed wood design and clover press. The shop opens early too, perfect for early-morning coffee runs!
Jesse Johnston: What a wonderful park! The hikes here are few but quite steep and challenging. On a clear day, the views can't be beat either. Get in before 8am and parking is free!
1500 N Shoreline Blvd (at Pear Ave), Mountain View, CA
Cinéma · 97 conseils et avis
Jesse Johnston: Century Cinemas recently gutted their entire facility and installed electric reclining chairs in every theater. That combined with the stress-free assigned seating, and I now love this place!
Magasin d'ameublement et de décoration intérieure · 3 conseils et avis
Jesse Johnston: Standard Container Store outlet, complete with two floors of compact, clever goodness. Sign up for their Pop! loyalty program for great discounts!
1642 Post St (btwn Laguna & Buchanan), San Francisco, CA
Café · Japantown · 75 conseils et avis
Jesse Johnston: Although it's no Blue Bottle, yakiniQ offers lots of espresso beverages at reasonable rates. They also have almond and soy milk for the diary averse!
Jesse Johnston: Um, wow. The Rails gym is easily Google's largest fitness facility to date (international offices included), and departs from the EXOS design to offer a CrossFit feel while not being intimidating.
Jesse Johnston: Great rendition of Off The Grid with a special South Bay twist. Local musicians often play during prime hours, and on a clear summer night, the moon comes out to light up the festivities. Wonderful.
46840 Highway 1 (Highway 1 at Phenger Creek), Big Sur, CA
Hôtel · 40 conseils et avis
Jesse Johnston: Compared to the overpriced, waiting-line-only affairs you'll find a few miles north, the Big Sur River Inn is a quaint, old-California establishment with good people, tasty food and happy living.
Jesse Johnston: Awesome camping spot! The sites are a collection of cabins you can stay in (equipped with either a full- or queen-size bed and kitchenette) or plots of land you can erect your own tent at. Beautiful!
1 E Main St. (Los Gatos to Lexington), Los Gatos, CA
Sentier de randonnée pédestre · East Los Gatos · 17 conseils et avis
Jesse Johnston: Perfect place for quick, low effort exercise or an enjoyable stroll on a sunny day. Be sure to pack some drinking water (especially if you bring your dog!) as there is very little shade.
126 East El Camino Real (at Sunnyvale-Saratoga), Sunnyvale, CA
Magasin de compléments alimentaires · 1 conseil
Jesse Johnston: This location is well stocked with all kinds of supplements and snacks, the staff is friendly and there never seems to be anyone there, meaning no lines and catered service.
Jesse Johnston: This place can be an absolute zoo with activity (even at odd hours of the day/night), but even for our international flight, we were through security, customs and at our gate in less than 25 minutes.
Jesse Johnston: WOW! The coffee here has incredible flavor, and while the shop is definitely on the small side, it's a great spot to take a break and people watch passers-by.
19 Pham Dinh Ho Street, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoï, Thành Phố Hà Nội
Hôtel · 26 conseils et avis
Jesse Johnston: The location isn't central to nearly anything, but in a city so small and walkable, what does it matter? The Wi-Fi is free and fast, and the staff are very accommodating.
Jesse Johnston: Lovely place to visit, but set your expectations right in that unless you time your trip perfectly, visibility (as is true with most of Vietnam) will be underwhelming.
Sân Bay Quốc Tế Nội Bài (Noi Bai International Airport), Sóc Sơn, Thành Phố Hà Nội
Terminal d'aéroport · 67 conseils et avis
Jesse Johnston: Massive airport, and brand new having just opened in January 2015. Although the shopping and food are a bit lacking, expect much more to come in 2015 and 2016.
Jesse Johnston: Hands down the best, most luxurious, well equipped hotel in Bangkok. The dollar here goes a LONG way, and more than anything, you are dodded on and cared for like you were royalty. HIGHLY recommend!
Jesse Johnston: If you're staying at the Riva Sirya (and you should), this restaurant is just downstairs and offers a wide range of delicious foods at reasonable prices. Look for buffets in the AM and at lunch.
Temple bouddhiste · พระบรมมหาราชวัง · 320 conseils et avis
Jesse Johnston: Easily the most interesting and one of the largest temples in Bangkok. I highly recommend you visit soon after opening to avoid the crowds, and dress appropriately (no exposed knees or shoulders).
Jesse Johnston: Gorgeous hotel in the center of Bangkok. If you can't afford to stay in the hotel itself, don't hesitate to eat at their restaurant (pricey but delicious) or enjoy an espresso in the impressive lobby.
Na Phra Lan Rd (Maha Rat Rd & Sanam Chai Rd), Bangkok, กรุงเทพมหานคร
Palais · 425 conseils et avis
Jesse Johnston: Although worthwhile to visit given the neighboring Wat (contained in the same complex), the Palace itself is entirely restricted and (funny enough) mostly of European architecture.
Na Phra Lan Rd (Maha Rat Rd), Bangkok, กรุงเทพมหานคร
Temple bouddhiste · พระบรมมหาราชวัง · 254 conseils et avis
Jesse Johnston: Although extremely touristy and oftentimes overrun with crowds, visit when the doors open around 8am, come dressed appropriately (no exposed knees or shoulders) and enjoy a walk around.
Jesse Johnston: These people are doing God's work. The elephants here are typically rescued from work camps or are disabled due to landmines etc., and they are taken care of, well fed and bathed. Volunteers welcome!
Chang Klan Rd (Chang Klan Rd), Chiang Mai, เชียงใหม่
Marché nocturne · 143 conseils et avis
Jesse Johnston: Huge bazaar that spans multiple city blocks in both width and length - save this for your final night in Chiang Mai to buy souvenirs and (if you're brave) try some Thai street food.
Phrapokklao Rd. (btwn Ratchadamnoen & Ratchamanka Rd), Chiang Mai, เชียงใหม่
Temple bouddhiste · 132 conseils et avis
Jesse Johnston: Easily my favorite and one of the historic temples in Chiang Mai. Previously home to one of the tallest pagodas in Thailand, the building has since collapsed but is still beautiful to behold.
Samlan Rd (Ratchadamnoen Rd), Chiang Mai, เชียงใหม่
Temple bouddhiste · 119 conseils et avis
Jesse Johnston: One of the prettiest temples in Chiang Mai. Definitely worth a visit if you have the time - be aware that the local monks adopt stray dogs, so avoid if you have a fear of dogs or allergies!
