really hungry? then you should try the 'keksz de lux zöldsalátával', huge and delicious! my wife had the 'nyári lecsó gazdagon' (typical sausage dish with a sort of paprikasoup) and loved it as well!
I love the fact that you can "make your own salad", have a healthy meal in a healthy portion. :) they are great. Waiters&waitresses are a bit preoccuped sometimes, but nice:) i would recommend it
You can create your own eggs by choosing how you'd like them and by adding from among the list of salad fillings. For instance, we love the mushroom and mozzarellascrambled eggs. En savoir plus
The best syrup water is off the menu; instead of elderberry/raspberry, you can ask for apple - it's real good. Edit: Goddammit they stopped stocling apple right after I wrote this. They got grape now.
English brkfst (w/a Hungarian twist) was quite good and generous (albeit I'm not big on white bread) wanna go back+ try the sandwiches.Very laid back (my family hated it but they're not Bohemians LOL)
Great combination of price and volume and all day breakfast. Fantastic and very honest Irish coffee- special thanks to barman for a great morning starter).
So the full English has a definite Hungarian twist on it and there's no brown sauce but I guess it's the perfect transition food for anyone from the UK.
Very local place, we came here for brunch. The French toast is more like a Hungarian version, it was ok but not stellar. My bf had one of the scrambled egg dishes, it was tasty and flavorful.
It's definitely a good place to hang out in the middle of Madách Tér, which kind of became the central "party area" for Budapest. The food or service is not always unquestionable, but overall ok.
I don't agree this place deserves the ratings it is getting but it's reasonable value. A warning though as the servings are massive. They basically give you half a loaf of bread.
Very large portions (if you enjoy a mouthful of bread). Long wait for both food and drinks. Would recommend though if you wanted traditional hungarian food as this seemed to take no time at all.
Terrible service, average food, big portions, cheap prices. Tourists/expats not welcomed. Last time there, waiter was inefficient and rude, we left without ordering after a 15 minutes wait.
Waited 1.5 hours for eggs, bacon, onions and an English breakfast; they still were unable to serve these after being politely reminded twice. Had to go elsewhere.
