- Every PDX family should have a membership here. It pays for itself in two visits and there is always something great to check out. Also, tons of partner museums as well that accept your membership.
- Ashley GysinNovembre 14, 2013Amazing thing to do with kids (and fun for adults). Tons of educational games and things to play with. The laser light shows are great, as are the Omnimax movies. Worth the cost for a day of fun.
- Isabelle LopezAoût 28, 2016Best place to take my kids. the 0-6 year old room is their favorite. The pizza in the cafeteria is wonderful. I recommend getting a membership it pays for itself after a couple visits.
- Fire FlyJuin 23, 2015OMSI is probably one of my favorite museums in the world! They always have a new exhibit, and one time they even had real mummies from around the world in the museum!
- Team CocoNovembre 11, 2011"The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry contains a variety of hands-on exhibits based on physical science. Blah, blah, blah, why aren’t you at a brewery?" - Conan O'Brien
- The 'Beginning the Journey' exhibit is intense. The miracle of life is so evident through this amazing and haunting display of embryos, fetuses, and essentially babies that never made it to birth.
- Michael PlasmeierDécembre 28, 2014Stop by the Oregon Rail Heritage Center right around the corner to see real historic steam trains https://foursquare.com/v/oregon-rail-heritage-center/505e2e16e4b0ddb6e8ee4713 En savoir plus
- Peter BankaAvril 21, 2014Has always been a great place to take the little ones. My kids tat 16 and 18 thought they outgrew OMSI and were surprised to find that OMSI was still for them!
- Joey CarmelloAoût 6, 2018OMSI has fantastic marketing that convinces you there’s something important and inevitable here. I found myself disappointed with most of the exhibits.
- Omsi during the day for the kids. And then omsi at night for the adults! A must check out place. You'll have fun regardless of your age.
- Jeffrey L. AlejandriaMars 10, 2020Go do the submarine tour. Cramp spaces are worth it if you're a sumidge into history.
- Randy SmithDécembre 3, 2013Watch your timing between events, easy to lose track in one and miss another. Building layout does not flow well between main attractions. Sherlock Holmes exhibit is excellent.
- Lynn HolmSeptembre 11, 2011I think OMSI Science Playground is better than entire PDX Children's Museum. For adults actually interested in SCIENCE and INDUSTRY, there's plenty to see/do. Best place to get food: Galileo by IMAX.
- TDM Ad-HoldJuin 6, 2014I love their on-hold music - classic and soothing, even though you barely have to hold when you call in. What's not to love about OMSI!
- WillOctobre 2, 2011If you ever need to fills a kids time and imagination, this is the place. So happy that after 35 years its still here. Hope it will inspire my son as it did me.
- NASADécembre 7, 2010OMSI's Science Education Resource Center (SERC) is home of the NASA Regional Educator Resource Center and is filled with resources for educators. It's open 3:30-5:00pm every Thursday except holidays. En savoir plus
- Andrew JAvril 28, 2014The best exhibit is the innovation exhibit! They have some really amazing interactive displays
- Steve KJuin 30, 2013Now why would Allstate want to so generously support the "Earthquake House" exhibit... A true mystery.
- ToryBurchJuin 25, 2013Budding scientists love the interactive activities — mix potions in a lab, program a robot or simulate an earthquake.
- Great museum. There are a lot of children, but if you feel like that is a problem for you, just look up when OMSI after dark is at omsi.edu. After dark is 21+ only and often has special labs for adults
- Layton RosencranceAvril 7, 2017Great place, but be sure to check the "age" level of the Planetarium shows!
- Chelsea EnochAvril 14, 2015Had a good time even with all the kids running around. Really enjoyed the life science room.
- Brook ShelleyJanvier 20, 2016First time here was for Miyazaki films, and they were a blast. Love this place
- Eric LongstaffDécembre 22, 2012Don't forget the submarine tour. The USS Bluebird was the last diesel submarine as the US fleet transitioned to nuclear.
- K12 IncJuin 14, 2011Did you know? John Cyprian Stevens, a naturalist and civil engineer, first envisioned OMSI in 1896, but the museum didn’t officially open until 1944.
- Great museum for kids, just great
- Alberto J S Moreau DJanvier 9, 2016If you have kids go there, it is good for them. If not there is better places in Portland to visit.
- Heather SkinnerDécembre 2, 2013$2.00 admission on the 1st Sunday of the month. Great for large families.
- Nick RistowMai 27, 2013This is a great place... but don't come here on a holiday!!! It's insane on Memorial Day!
- Saerom YooNovembre 3, 2013The Sherlock Holmes exhibit is amazing! Gather and test evidence to solve a murder mystery!
- Tanya HaddadOctobre 24, 2009See a show at the OMSI OMNIMAX IMAX theater: a five-story domed screen covering 6,532 sq. ft. of projection surface. So big you might need to sit in the back row! En savoir plus
- Mrs TimmyJNovembre 15, 2011Give yourself at least 2-3 hours and use the audio recordings. It gives you extras points to listen to.
- Jennifer RichardsonFévrier 2, 2016It was fun! Just so much going on... Almost wish it was organized a little more though
