If you have a Ruter subscription you can buy an addon ticket for 60 NOK valid for the NSB trains to the airport.

Be careful in tax free, the prices on arrival are 20% more than those in departures!

I would rate this as an average airport. Kind of slow security and the free WiFi usually is very slow, or don't work at all...... Like today when I'm writing this tip roaming as WiFi is dead.
If you are stay in a hotel next to the airport, there is a free shuttle service from 4 am until midnight, departing at platform B25 (near the taxi)

AakhmedSeptembre 23, 2014Ligger 19 nautiske miles nordøst for Oslo. Har to parallelle omtrent nord-sør rullebaner som måler 3600m og 2950m og 71 fly står hvorav 34 har jet broer. Koblet til sentrum av høyhastighetsjernbane.
Excellent service at Fast Track Gardermoen Highly appteciated when there is only 15 min to departure.. Bangkok this time. Did not loose plane :-)

Keep to the left right after entering the international gate area. You will avoid the tax free and save loads of money.
