Plan about an hour to walk the trail. Pack a lunch and make an afternoon out of it!
Make sure to get there to see one of the two longhorn cattle drives! Also, on the weekend, the Grapevine Vintage train stops at the stockyards and even has a Trinity River Run from the stockyards.
This is a fun train ride through the park. Come for the first train ride of the day, it is generally less crowded. Make sure to bring cash, because it is cash only!
